One arrested for making fakes of Titan and Sonata watches
New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) The Delhi Police today arrested a person from Bihar for manufacturing fakes of leading watch brands Titan and Sonata.
They said Vidya Sagar Mandal, 26, was arrested from Chandni Chowk area.
Police later unearthed a duplicate assembling unit of Titan and Sonata watches. As many as 692 duplicate watches and 757 dials worth about Rs seven lakh were also seized from the spot.
A case of copyright act had been registered at the Lahori Gate police station in this regard.
On questioning, Mandal disclosed that he was in the business of assembling, sale and distribution of fakes of Titan and Sonata watches. He used to supply these watches to dealers in various parts of Uttar Pradesh.
