MP HC issues notice to govt on distribution of red wheat
Jabalpur, May 7 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court today issued notice to the state government on a petition demanding stopping distribution of red wheat under the Annapoorna Yojana.
Hearing a petition filed by Nagrik Upbhokta Manch Chairman P G Nagpandey, a division bench comprising Chief Justice A K Patnaik and Justice Sanjay Yadav today fixed the next date of hearing on May 12.
Petitioner's counsel Dinesh Upaddhyay told the court that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asserted that the state's denizens would not consume red wheat. On the other hand, red wheat was being distributed as a part of the Annapoorna Yojana.
