Mahindra Agribusiness exports record grapes to EU

Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) A record number of 282 containers of grapes was exported to European Union and the United Kingdom by the Mahindra Shubhlaabh Services Limited (MMSL), an agribusiness initaitive of Mahindra and Mahindra.

The company, which had started exporting grapes in 2005, had last year shipped 101 containers of grapes to both EU and UK.

MSSL, in a release here, said that the volumes had tripled every year and the growth had been possible due to the collaborative approach adopted by the company, which ensured excellent returns to the growers.

MSSL integrated the food chain by providing quality inputs and farm solutions for post-harvest management of high value farm produce. The company provided supply chain services to organised retail in both export and domestic markets for fresh fruits and vegetables as well as to the food processing industry.

Grapes from MSSL reach European retailers such as Aheijn, Tesco, Carrefour and Seinsbury's.
