Unidentified robbers loot Rs 1.28 lakh from Jain temple in Surat
Surat, May 6 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants broke into the Anadayak Swamy Shwetambar Murthi Pujak Jain Sangh temple, located in Bhatar area of the city, and fled with a cash box containing Rs 1.28 lakhs.
Police sources said the theft took place late last night as the miscreants entered the temple through a five feet high wall.
The incident came to light, when Pujari opened the temple this morning and noticed the theft.
Umra police have registered a theft case and investigations into the matter are on, police said, adding, a team of forensic officials visited the temple but could not find any clues about the miscreants.
