Two booked for murder over new born's death

Shahjahanpur, May 4 (UNI) Prilimanary Health Centre nurse and her daughter were booked today for murder over the death of a newborn late last night in Jaitipur area here.

On Friday, a woman was admitted in hospital for delivery, wherein, first the health centre employees demanded money for the same, but later nurse Madhuri and her daughter, who was not the professional, attempted the delivery, official sources said.

However, the new born died after an hour.

The family of the woman alleged that negligence was the cause of the death.

After finding the nurse guilty of crime, the district magistrate had ordered to book both mother-daughter for murder.

One doctor Satendra Kumar, head nurse Usha Rastogi and a ward boy were also suspended for dereliction of duty.
