Senior citizen murdered by servants in Juhu

Mumbai, May 4 (UNI) An elderly woman was brutally murdered by her servants in Juhu early this morning.

According to police, 70-year-old Neruben Patel, a resident of Devi Pal Society in Juhu, had sacked one of her three servants yesterday. The disgruntled servant conspired with the other two servants and hatched a plan to murder her.

At around 0915 hours, the trio murdered her after overpowering and tying her up. The victim's cash and ornaments were also taken. To throw police off their trail, one of them was locked up in the bathroom to make the crime look like a case of burglary.

However, on being interrogated by police, the servant confessed and also implicated his partners, who are still absconding.
