Meghalaya budget session resumes tomorrow

Shillong, May 4 (UNI) The Meghalaya Assembly's Budget session will resume tomorrow after a week-long recess.

Speaker Bindo M.Lanong suspended the session in view of the recent meeting between Chief Minister Donkupar Roy with Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia to decide on the Plan size for the state.

The Planning Commission has fixed Rs 1500 crore as an annual plan outlay to the state for 2008-09, 380 up from Rs 1120 crore last fiscal.

Earlier, the Business Advisory Committee of the Assembly had revised the calendar and accommodated all the remaining motions, questions and resolutions moved by the members.
