Man slain, home burnt in Dewas

Dewas, MP, May 4: An old man was fatally beaten with lathis by unidentified assailants and his home torched last night at Kakriya village in the district, police said today.

Sagar (60) and his grandson Pawan (18) were assaulted. The man died on the spot while the youth was injured. Miscreants also set afire their house. The damage was estimated at about Rs one lakh.

The motive was unclear. The accused are absconding.
