15 killed in jeep-tanker collision in Maharashtra
Mumbai, May 4: At least fifteen people were killed in a jeep-tanker collision on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on Sunday. All deceased were part of a marriage procession. The jeep from Western Maharashtra's Satara District rammed into a stationary tanker at around 04:45 AM, police officials said. The jeep was moving towards Navi Mumbai's Vashi area for a wedding and all casualties are reported to be hailing from Chavneshwar village in Satara District, they said. The deceased include two men, ten women and three children. Injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
