AP Govt for panel to study film ticket rates

Hyderabad, May 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy today said his government would constitute a committee to study the possibility of implementing different ticket rates of high budget films in the first two weeks after release.

Participating in 62nd birthday celebrations of the famous Telugu Film Director and Producer and Former Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao, organised by the Vamsee International here, Dr Reddy said the government would take a decision on the proposal, put forth by Mr Rao at the meeting, after the committee submitted its report.

Stating his government was taking all steps to develop the Telugu film industry since 2004, he said IT would also take steps to bear 30 per cent cost of construction of houses alloted to the workers of Telugu film industry.

More than 100 producers were felicited at the function in which veteran film stars, producers and directors attended.
