Famous personalities to perform to mark 125th yr of GSDC

Kolhapur, May 3 (UNI) Noted personalities of classical music world will participate in Gayan Samaj Deval Club (GSDC) 'Sangeet Sammelan' to mark the institute's 125th year celebrations here.

Informing this to reporters here today 'Sammelan' organising committee members A R Manavi and V B Patil said that the Gayan Samaj Deval Club, a famous institute of Indian classical music, dance, drama is celebrating 125th years this year.

Classical singer Aartee Ankelikar-Tikekar, Raveindra Sathe and Suvarna Mategaokar will present (Swar Pushpanjalee) Marathi Sugam Sangeet. Besides this, noted classical singer Vyankateshkumar and Kathak dancer Rajarshi Shirke will perform, the members informed.

Noted film actor and drama artist Nana Patekar will formally inaugurate the three-day 'Sammelan' at the Keshavrao Bhosale Natyagram on May 7, the members added.
