Naomi Campbell's bat-breaking innings in Ugly Betty

London, May 2 : Naomi Campbell's skills as a model are incomparable, and now the supermodel's batting skills on the sets of 'Ugly Betty' has left many taken aback, what with her hitting a ball so hard that she actually broke the softball bat in half.

In the series, the supermodel took part in a glittery team of Elle models playing against Mode magazine.

"I was given a crash course in playing softball and at one point hit the ball so hard it actually broke in half! I had a fantastic day on set, the cast and crew were lovely. The coach said he had never seen anyone pick up the game so quickly," The Sun quoted her, as saying.

In one of the scenes, Naomi hit a ball high into the air that Betty (America Ferrara) ends up crashing into teammates as she rushes to try and catch it.

"I play a loony who loves to shop and can't find a man. I like that sort of role," she previously said of the role.

Despite being popular for her fiery temper, Naomi was well-behaved and joked with members of the cast and crew.

The episode in question will be telecasted on US TV on May 22.
