Congress to start campaign after nomination process: APCC President
Hyderabad, May 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President D Srinivas today said the party would start its campaign after completion of the nomination process for the by-elections.
Talking to UNI here today, he said he would coordinate with all leaders and chalkout a plan for the campaign.
He said Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would also take part in the campaign.
''I will coordinate with the party workers and leaders. I have to spend more time for strengthening the party,'' he added.
Asked about a possible alliance with friendly parties, he said ''now there is no chance of alliance. The party will fight the elections on its own as our allies in the 2004 eletions have decided to stay away,'' he said.
''The trend is very encouraging, people have confidence on the party in view of the developmental and welfare schemes initiated by the government during the last four years,'' he claimed.
Meanwhile, he conducted a video conference with the contesting candidates from the party headquarters 'Gandhi Bhavan' and discussd about the party strategy to be adopted in the bypoll.
