Thackeray hopes for a Shiv Sena govt
Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray today expressed the ''wish'' that the Congress-led government in Maharashtra, ''which cannot understand the woes of farmers,'' should go to be replaced by a Shiv Sena government.
In his message to the people of Maharashtra on the occasion of the 48th Maharashtra formation day today, the octagenerian leader said in his party mouthpiece ''Saamna'' that the incumbent government has hardly done anything for the benefit of farmers. The people are facing inflation and power shortage, he said.
What can a common man can expect from the people who are organising the performance of foreign girls on the cricket grounds under the guise of ''cheer leaders'', Mr Thackeray said.
Mr Thackeray, without actually naming Sharad Pawar, took a dig at the latter indirectly.
