Hooda hails training programme of APROs
Chandigarh, May 1 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has appreciated the initiative taken by the Haryana Information and Public Relations Department to provide a month long training to the 30 newly inducted Assistant Public Relations Officers (APROs).
The training is being given through an induction training programme by Divisional Training Centre of the Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA).
The Chief Minister, who was interacting with these APROs here, called upon them to discharge their duties diligently and disseminate among the people the information concerning policies and programmes of the government in its true perspective. Mr Hooda also wished them good luck.
The month long training programme of the APRO's would conclude tomorrow.
Chief Secretary Dharam Vir underlined the role of media and said that those associated with mass communication should identify the requirements of media and take initiative in apprising the people about the developmental schemes of the government.
He said the state government had implemented a number of mass welfare programmes and the people should be aware of these programmes and APROs could play a vital role in this regard.
The Chief Secretary also gave away prizes to those six APROs who had attained first three positions in a test conducted by the training centre.
