BJP to launch agitation against poor power supply
Ranchi, Apr 30 (UNI) Expressing concern over poor power supply in Jharkhand, Leader of Opposition Arjun Munda today said the BJP would launch an agitation if the state government failed to take steps.
Addressing a news conference at the party's state headquarters here, Mr Munda said people across the state were facing acute shortage of electricity but the government was yet to take any step.
Mr Munda,the former Chief Minister, said the party would launch an agitation but a finaldecision in this regard would be taken after May 10.
Criticising the UPA backed Madhu Koda government of the state, he said even the quota of central sector was being denied to the state.
Demanding more allocation of power from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) project, the BJP leader said the state government should talk to DVC authorities to enhance the power quota.
Yesterday, the BJP acvists protesting the poor power supply allegedly ransacked the office of Jharkhand State Electricity Board.
