Youth dies during police recruitment

Vijayawada, Apr 29: A youth died while participating in the running test, organised for the selection of police constables today.

Police said Shravan Kumar of Chittinagar, who was running for five km test between Pottur and Tadepalli along with other participants, suddenly collapsed due to searing heat on the ground and died.

The exact reason for the death was not immediately known.

This was the second similar incident in less than 24 hours after a youth R Narendar, hailing from Jaggannapet village of Mulugu Mandal in Warangal town, collapsed and died due to cardiac arrest.
