SAD names Bularia as party candidate for Amritsar South bypolls
Amritsar, Apr 29 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today announced the name of Municipal Concillor Inderveer Singh Bularia as the party candidate for Amritsar South assembly bypolls.
Stating this here today in a press conference, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal said that its alliance partner BJP had also supported the candidature of Mr Bularia. Mr Bularia is a son of former SAD MLA Raminder Singh.
The Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the party had authorised SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal to take a decision in this matter.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who had launched the party campaign in the area yesterday, continued its campaign for the second day today and addressed public meetings at Dera Mitha Tibana and Chowk Baba Sahib.
The Chief Minister while speaking in the public meetings appealed the people to vote for the SAD candidate to ensure the fast pace development of the constituency.
