Leopard trapped in Mandsaur

Mandsaur, MP, Apr 29: A leopard, who struck terror in near here by preying on five cows, has been trapped by forest officials after a month's trail.

Divisional Forest Officer S K Mohanta said here today the residents of Rewas Dewara, Pityakheri and Vardal villages panicked as the wild animal intruded into their hamlets, 10 km from this district headquarters. However, the big cat did not attack human beings.

The animal was caught by placing a trap in the forests near Rewas Devada village last night and would be released in the forests of Gandhi Sagar.
