Guj BJP to launch state-wide agitation against price hike on May 2

Ahmedabad, Apr 29 (UNI) Gujarat BJP has decided to launch a state-wide agiation, Remove Inflation or Quit Power, on May 2 against Congress-led UPA Government for its failure to control hike in prices of essential commodities and foods in the country.

Talking to mediapersons here today, state BJP spokesperson I K Jadeja said ''The party workers would form human chains at headquarters of every tehsils and districts in Gujarat to show their protest against price hike of essential commodities and foods in the country.'' Mr Jadeja said ''On May 2, the traders selling essential commodities and foods will down the shutters of their shops to express their displeasure and solidarity in opposing the price hike.'' ''More programmes would be launched soon to sharpen party's agitation if UPA Government fails to take prompt and stern action to control and bring down the prices of commodities,'' he added.
