Composite index of metals and energy declines
Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) The composite index of metal and energy declined by 2,840.27 points at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.
Gold July 2008 contract lost 0.30 per cent at Rs 11,652 per 10 gram, while silver December 2008 contract was down by 0.87 pc at Rs 22,941 per kg.
Copper April 2008 contract gained 0.03 pc at Rs 348.05 per kg, while aluminium May 2008 contract fell 0.42 pc at Rs 119 per kg.
Crude oil contracts for May and June 2008 lost marginally.
Agriculture contracts moved a tad. Only chana contracts showed some gains, with May and June 2008 contracts were up 2.67 pc and 2.50 pc at Rs 2,542 per quintal and Rs 2,620 per quintal respectively.
All mentha oil contracts and potato were down, an MCX release said.
