BPCC to launch movement against hoarders and blackmarketeers
Patna, Apr 29 (UNI) The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) today accused the Nitish Kumar government of going soft on hoarders and blackmarketeers and announced to launch statewide agitation from tomorrow.
BPCC President Sadanand Singh took the decision at a meeting and directed the party bearers of the district to cooperate and make the agitation a great success.
Mr Singh told newspersons here today that the MLAs, MPs, former MLAs and MPs and senior leaders of the party had been asked to attend the agitational programme.
BPCC Chairman of media cell cum chief spokesperson Kripanath Pathak said the party had decided to launch phasewise mass movement against the hoarders and blackmarketeers.
Briefly describing the agitational programmes, he said Congress workers would stage district level demonstrations before the Collectorate tomorrow under the first phase of agitation. Block level demonstrations would be held in all 539 blocks under the second phase of agitation, he informed.
Mr Pathak alleged that the hoarders and blackmerketeers were flourishing during the Nitish Kumar government regime which failed to take action against them.
The common mass was facing hard time as kerosene oil, food grains and other essential goods were out of reach and they had to pay exhorbitant price for it, he said alleging that it was all being engineered by the NDA government of the state.
Mr Pathak said the BPL families were also being deprived of the benefits even after adequate allotment of food grains and other items from the Centre.
