AR administers Hepatitis vaccine

Imphal, Apr 29: 16 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) has organised a Hepatitis 'B' vaccination camp for children here under the Assam Rifles Military Civic Action.

About 1200 children will be vaccinated in the week-long camp, that started on April 27, at Namduanjang following an outbreak of Hepatitis in Manipur.

PRO of Assam Rifles Col Pant said Hepatitis is common in Northeast and is highly communicable. Therefore vaccination is an important part of primary preventive health measures.

The children will be administered three doses of the vaccine free of cost by HQ DGAR.
