3.57 lakh duplicate voters in Malad, Kandivli, Borivali: Naik

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Former Union Petroleum Minister Ram Naik today said that the recently published electoral rolls of the three assembly constituencies of Malad, Kandivali and Borivali, situated in the suburbs of the city have names of 357,520 duplicate voters.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Naik said this number is 20 per cent of the total number of voters.

''I met the Chief Electoral Officer of Maharashtra, Devashish Chakravarty, regarding this issue and Mr Chakravarty assured me that he would look into the matter,'' Mr Naik added.
