25 houses gutted at Kishtwar in J K
Jammu, Apr 29 (UNI) At least 25 houses were gutted and several animals charred to death in a devastating fire at a remote Angoi village in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said today.
They said on the intervening night of April 27 and 28, an information about the fire was received that destroyed 25 residential houses and several cattle sheds in Angoi village, about 85 km from Kishtwar.
As it is a very remote village, a team of police and civil administration reached the village last night along with essential commodities, blankets and cash for the affected people.
The village has no road or communication links, the sources informed.
The cause of fire and the exact loss of property was yet to be ascertained, they added.
