Uttarakhand BJP Yuva Morcha supports NDA's Bharat Bandh
Dehra Dun, Apr 28 (UNI) The Uttarakhand BJP Yuva Morcha has extended its full support to ensure that the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) 'Bharat Bandh' on May 2 is successful.
Yuva Morcha president Gajraj Singh Bisht informed that all possible assistance would be provided to ensure that the bandh, called to protest price rise, was a success.
The escalating price rise crisis has affected the people of the state who depend on the Public Distribution System (PDS) for food supplies.
BJP Yuva Morcha activists have accused the Centre of not doing enough to control the crisis.
Chief Minister B C Khanduri has also been vocal about the problems being faced by the people of the state with regard to the procurement of essential food items. While assessing measures being taken by the Centre to curb the looming crisis at a recent meeting, he said, the state was recieving only 1500 tonne of food out of its stipulated requirement of 18,000 tonne, adding that same was the situation with regard to the procurement of rice and oil.
