Militant plan to cause blasts foiled, one kg RDX recovered in J

Srinagar, Apr 28 (UNI) Alert security forces today foiled a militant plan to smuggle in deadly RDX into the summer capital Srinagar to cause blasts on the eve of reopening of darbar move offices here in the first week of May.

Official sources said security forces and police have intensified checking of vehicles and passengers coming from different outskirts in the city.

They said during the checking of vehicles, security forces recovered one kg deadly RDX from a bus at Parimpora, about 9 km from here today.

The driver of the bus has been arrested, they said.

The darbar move offices, including the civil secretariat, seat of the government, will reopen here on May 5.
