Patna, Apr 28 (UNI) Union Steel and Fertiliser Minister Ramvilas Paswan today hinted that his party would go all alone in the next Lok Sabha elections, saying a final decision on the issue was yet to be taken.
Mr Paswan told newspersons here that the party was preparing to contest all the Lok Sabha seats in Bihar during the next Lok Sabha election, but a final decision on the issue would be taken after discussing the matter in detail at party level.
Mr Paswan said the stand of his party LJP of maintaining equi-distance with both RJD and BJP still continued.
Asked about the indication from the support lent by the RJD to LJP candidate in recent biennial Rajya Sabha election in Bihar, he said his party had not sought support of the RJD.
Referring to a steep hike in prices of essentials, Mr Paswan said it was giving sleepless nights to all sections irrespective of their economic status, but clarified that it was the result of rising inflation at international level.
''We will succeed in making the people aware about the real reason behind the escalation of prices,'' he maintained.
While taking potshots at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for constitution ''Mahadalit Commission'', the LJP chief said it was his attempt to divide the oppressed section of the society.
''If some welfare works are being done for the most oppressed section of the society in the name of Mahadalit, how I can have any objection over it,'' he added.
