Enforce total prohibition in TN : TMMK
Tiruchirapalli, Apr 28 (UNI) The women wing of the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra kazhagam (TMMK) has urged the government to enforce total prohibition in the state immediately.
TMMK women wing secretary Kovai Sajitha, in a release here today said a resolution to this effect was adopted at the state executive meeting held here yesterday.
She said the meeting also appealed to the Central and State governments to ban obsence advertisements and condemned the dances by cheerleaders in the ongoing IPL cricket matches.
It also appealed to the central and state governments to bring down the price of essential commodities and ban futures trading.
The meeting urged the Union Government to implement the Justice Ranganath Mishra Commission report immediately, and provide exclusive reservation for jobs and education to them, she added.
