No concern in BJP over Rahul: Prasad

Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Apr 27 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party's Chhattisgarh in charge and former union minister Ravishankar Prasad today said there was ''absolutely no concern'' in his party over Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's 'Discover India' campaign.

''I am commenting only because Mr Gandhi made headlines while on his visit to this state. India is an independent country and citizens enjoy a right to freedom of movement. Congress seats decline in whichever region Mr Gandhi makes direct contact with the poor prior to polls,'' he told mediapersons here.

Alleging that the Amethi MP's visits to Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and other states did not translate into vote gain, Mr Prasad pointed out that Chhattisgarh was facing an election year.

''If Mr Gandhi is so concerned about the poor and tribals then let him ask his mother to pressurise the Prime Minister to bring down prices,'' he added.
