Fire destroys about 18 acre of crop in Hisar

Hisar, Apr 27 (UNI) Standing crop of wheat was destroyed in a fire that spread to about 18 acre of fields in village Mola today.

According to reports, several villagers battled for about two and a half hours with the blaze after noticing flames in the wheat fields.

However, by the time they could control the fire, crops worth Rs 1.5 lakh had been reduced to ashes in the fields of Dhari Singh, Kalam Singh and Hoshiar Singh.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
