Corp Bank to open 140 branches, 250 ATMs by Mar '09
New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) Extending its reach across the country, Corporation Bank said it plans to open about 140 branches, besides 200-250 ATMs in the current fiscal.
At present, the total number of branches and ATMs of the Mangalore-based Bank stands at 981 and 957 respectively.
''We are planning to open about 125-140 branches across the country during the current financial year,'' Bank's Chief General Manager M Narendra told reporters here on the sidelines of a conference.
The Bank has got licences to open 125 branches and is in the process to get licences to take it up to 140, he said.
Bank's General Manager B R Bhat said about 200-250 ATMs will be installed by the end of March 2009.
The expansion will mainly focus on the South-Western and Northern regions where there is enormous potential.
