'Stardust' star Claire Danes to be new face of Gucci's luxury jewellery

London, April 26 : Stardust star Claire Danes has been announced as the new face of the upcoming Gucci fine jewellery campaign.

Danes, 29, has taken over from the fashion house's first celebrity campaigner Drew Barrymore, who had represented the line from 2007 to 2008.

Danes is to star in a series of magazine ads for the Italian fashion house, which are currently being shot.

"I am thrilled and honoured to be working with Gucci on their jewellery campaign...I am excited to be a part of it," the Mirror quoted her, as telling Marie Claire.

The actress has recently wrapped up filming in the UK, where she has been starring in Richard Linklater's Me and Orson Welles.

The film also stars High School Musical star Zac Efron and Brit actor Ben Chaplin.
