Mega Work Force to organise dharna on Begumpet Airport

Hyderabad, Apr 26 (UNI) Mega Work Force (MWF)would organise dharna on April 28 at Indira Park in the city demanding that the government take steps to revive the Begumpet Airport which was almost closed after the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad commenced flight operations from March.

Addressing the press here, MWF President VV Rama Rao said there was no proper connectivity to Shamshabad Airport from the city and the roads were not ready yet.

It was dangerous to note the airport had no fully functional Air Controller Tower.

The control operations were still being done from Begumpet Airport which could lead to a national disaster.

He said the Aiport Authority Employees Union (AAEU) which was supporting the MWF agitation would send its national delegation to the dharna venue.
