Measles vaccine withdrawn

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 26 (UNI) The measles vaccine, of a particular batch manufactured by the Hyderabad-based Human Biological Institute has been found defective and as such prohibited from use, according to Dr D Vijayakumar District Medical and Health Officer here today.

He said the State Family Welfare Commissioner had issued instructions to all the primary health centres, government and private hospitals not to use the vaccine till further orders.
