Infant stolen from Govt hospital

Dhar, MP, Apr 26: A new-born infant boy was stolen from the government hospital at Manawar town of this district last night while the tribal mother was sleeping, police said today.

Buharala village-resident tribal Asharam's wife Syani gave birth to a baby boy at the Community Health Centre yesterday afternoon.

Syani was sleeping with her infant when a woman took the infant and ran away through the hospital's rear door last night.

Minister of State for Tribal Welfare Ranjana Baghel today talked with the victim and ordered the officers to search the infant.
