Front on line of Kerala to be formed in WB: Dasmunsi

Kolkata, Apr 26 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today observed that a Front, on line of Kerala, would be formed in West Bengal after the coming Panchayat elections.

'' West Bengal Congress will take an initiative for forming a 'Kerala type' Front in the state where all the participant parties would be secular and rightists,'' Mr Dasmunsi told the 120th anniversary of Bangiya Pradeshik Congress Committee convention here.

The lower level party activists should be united and protest if the people were tortured or their homes burnt by the CPI (M) workers in the Panchayat poll, he advised.

'' We should fight unitedly against the CPI(M)-led Left Front based on the party's ideology,'' the Minister added.

Besides Mr Dasmunsi, veteran leaders Somen Mitra and Pradip Bhattacharjee were also present on the occasion.
