Body of girl child recovered in HP

Dharamshala, Apr 26 (UNI) Kangra police today recovered body of a three-and-half-year-old girl from a khud at Margoti Machyal village in this district of Himachal Pradesh.

P S Thakur, Additional District Police Chief of Kangra district, said Akruti, resident of village Kadiyara Rajol, had gone along with her 32-year-old deaf and dumb uncle Harnam on April 23 to village Dola Goan for a religious feast. The duo were missing ever since.

Harnam was recovered in an injured condition near Machiyal on April 24.

Being deaf and dumb, he failed to express himself before the police, Mr Thakur said.

Mr Thakur said additional police force had been deployed in the area to trace out Akruti.
