CID to assist GRP in controling crime in trains
Patna, Apr 25 (UNI) The Bihar government has directed the CID to assist the Government Railway Police Force (GRPF) in tackling and controlling crimes in trains.
Sources at the state headquarter said here today that the CID has been asked to help the GRPF in gathering informations about the gangs involved in crimes on the running trains.
Taking serious note of the recent spurt in loot, dacoity and rape on wheels, a special team of CID has been constituted to study the modus operandi of these gangs.
The team would tip off the GRPF counterparts for solving the cases.
The district police had also been asked to help the GRPF in the mission in their jurisdiction, sources said adding that massive raids had been launched across the state to nab the criminals involved in such crimes.
