Bellary police seize Rs 15 lakh cash and five people arrested

Bangalore, Apr 25(UNI) The Bellary police today seized Rs 15 lakh cash which was allegedly being transported from Bellary to Harapanahalli and arrested five persons in this connection.

Police said that a vehicle the cash was being transported was also seized.

Last week the Bellary police had impounded Rs 10 Crore and had arrested seven people, including a bank official, in this connection.

The district police also had seized scores of bundles of sarees from a house allegedly meant for distribution to voters during the election.
