Sweltering heat continues in Patna, mercury rises to 40 degrees
Patna, Apr 23 (UNI) The citizens felt restless throughout the day as scorching sunshine persisted in the state capital and its neighbouring areas for yet another day today.
Owing to the excessive heat, the public schools changed their schedules to morning classes as the escalating temperatures could harm the children.
Local Met officials said the maximum temperature was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 22 degrees Celsius.
The maximum relative humidty was pegged moderate at 45 per cent this morning, the Met office informed.
''The coming days might witness even higher temperatures,'' Met officials added.
The Met office forecast mainly clear sky during the next 24 hours.
