RAK Airways launches daily flights from Karippur Airport

Kozhikode, Apr 23 (UNI) UAE-based RAK Airways today launched daily flight operations from Karippur International Airport, near here, to Ras Al Khaimah.

The inaugural flight, RT 601, carrying a high-level entourage, including Ras Al Khaimah Civil Aviation Chairman Shaikh Salim Bin Sulthan Al Khasimi from Ras Al Khaimah landed at Karippur Airport at 0900 hrs and took off at 1000 hrs.

The function was inaugurated by IUML Leader P V Abdul Wahab, MP.

The flight would leave Ras Al Khaimah at 0340 hrs and arrive Karippur at 0900 hrs.

In the return direction, it would take off from Karippur at 1000 hrs and arrive Ras Al Khaimah at 1230 hrs.

In its bid to provide more amenities to passengers, the airline had announced free bus service from Ras Al Khaimah Airport to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ine, Umulkuvain and Fujairah.

The RAK Airways was the first foreign airliner to launch daily service to West Asian destinations from India.
