IT sleuths seize cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.47 crore

Ahmedabad, Apr 23 (UNI) Searches carried out by the investigation directorate of the Income Tax here on two prominent city-based builders and a stock broker have resulted in seizure of cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.47 crore.

According to IT sources here today, a team of 250 personnel have been carrying out searches since yesterday at the offices and residential premises of the two builders and the stock broker.

The stock broker and his associates have so far disclosed unaccounted income of Rs 5.20 crore.

A large number of documents have also been seized, IT sources added.
