Govt Plans to set up Transport towns in state
Shimla, Apr 23 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh government is mulling to setup Transport towns in the industrial belts of Barmana and Baddi in state, Transport Minister Kishan Kapoor said.
Presiding over the meeting of Town Planning, Housing Board and Transport department officials the Transport Minister directed the officials to initiate the process of land identification, as about fifty bighas of land was required for the construction of these towns.
''All kind of facilities would be provided to drivers, vehicle owners and travellers at one place by creating necessary infrastructure with dhabas, restaurants, sulabh toilets and a bank besides setting up a petrol pump'', he added.
