30 children die of mysterious disease in Manipur

Imphal, Apr 23: Altogether 30 children have died at Tipaimukh sub-division in Churachandpur district of Manipur following outbreak of an 'mysterious' disease in the last few days.

Health Minister Ph Parijat today expressed his concern over the deaths and assured to send a medical team to access the situation.

The health officials have informed that most of the children complained of breathing problem and that the doctors were trying to find out the cause of the disease.

A medical team of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has also organised a camp at Parbung Health Centre there to monitor the patients.
