Water samples of 19 rivers have metal contaminatiom: Minister
New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) Nineteen of the 48 rivers monitored by the Central Pollution Control Board in the northern and northeastern hilly states were found to have metal residues exceeding acceptable levels for ambient waters at a few locations, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Water Resources Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav in a written reply said, however, the levels of pesticides observed as per CPCB did not exceed the acceptable limits.
