One criminal killed, 4 aides held in police encounter
Sitapur, Apr 22 (UNI) A notorious criminal was gunned down, while four others were arrested during a police encounter in Sadarpur area of the district today.
Sunil Kumar Soni was robbed by few motorcycle-borne miscreants on Mehmoodabad-Lucknow road when he was going to his shop this morning, police said.
Later, acting on an information, police cordoned of Sarraiya town and shot dead Sanjay Yadav, while his aides Akmal, Anshu Sibbal, Babu Saleem and Vimal Srivastava were nabbed.
Police seized the booty comprising a motorcycle and weapons from his possession.
Investigation was on.
