Fortune Park Hotels to open 27 hotels by FY09
Jaipur, Apr 22 (UNI) Eyeing the country's booming tourism sector ahead of 2010 Commonwealth Games, Fortune Park Hotels Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ITC Ltd, today said it will open 27 new hotels during the current fiscal, taking its total number to 50.
''We have 23 hotels across the country and will take it up to 50 in the next 12 months,'' company's Assistant Sales Manager Ankush Sharma told UNI here.
With the opening of these new hotels, the number of rooms will go up to 5,000 from its curret 3,081 rooms.
Earlier, the hospitality major had launched its signature Indian Fine dinning brand of resturants Nakshtra in Gurgaon.
''During Commonwealth Games we plan to decrease our rates to support the government, sponsor a few events and will also offer medical tourism,'' Mr Sharma said.
The company has joined hands with reality major Parsavnath Developers to build hotels in 10 cities.
Fortune Park Hotels Ltd was set up in 1995 to cater to the mid-priced market segment in business and leisure destinations.
