Stating that the proposed event had elicited a good response from large and medium corporate sector companies in Kerala, she said several companies from the IT, finance, telecommunication and banking sectors had already registered for it.

Each company could send a team comprising upto 25 people to participate in nine competitions, including a corporate quiz, an 'Ad Zap' contest, solo and group singing, group dance, 'antakshari' and a designer wear fashion show.

The registration fee for each corporate team was Rs 25,000.

Ms Viswanathan said following directions from Rotary International, the local chapter had taken up road safety, rain water harvesting and reduction of child mortality as the thrust areas for 2008.

In furtherance of the last objective, the club had decided to adopt a paediatric ward and prenatal and postnatal care in government hospitals, she added.
