Sixth Pay Panel scales to apply on non-teaching varsity staff
New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) The non-teaching employees of universities will not be covered by the University Grants Commission(UGC) Pay Review Committee, the Government told the Rajya Sabha today.
The terms of reference of the committee are limited to teachers and academic staff in universities and colleges, Minister of State for Human Resource Development D Purandeswari told the House in a written reply.
The pay scale and other service conditions of non-academic staff would be considered separately in the light of the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission as may be accepted by the Central government, she said.
